Around 80 associations, groups and institutions offer a wide range of leisure activities in the borough. Various sports, singing and instrumental groups, fire departments, marksmen, local heritage and cultural associations as well as children's and youth organizations, carnival societies and other clubs provide entertainment and are just some of the possibilities in the diverse range of Hardtberg's club world.

The local (festival) committees in the districts of Duisdorf, Lengsdorf and Brüser Berg are the umbrella organizations for many of these clubs.

The Hardtberg district administration office is responsible for matters relating to the district's clubs, such as grants in accordance with the "Guidelines on the granting of subsidies and grants to support the work of local choral and instrumental clubs, the local committees and other local clubs, associations and initiatives (with the exception of sports clubs) in accordance with Section 7(2)(o) of the district statutes of the City of Bonn".
