Because there really are a lot of interesting biological processes to be found between the facades of buildings - and everyone can do a lot to ensure that nature feels at home in the city.
Along this "Green City Walk", the Lower Nature Conservation Authority would like to broaden our view and sharpen our senses for inner-city natural habitats and their inhabitants, whether unnoticed under our feet, for example, or as flying artists in the city sky. Sharpen your eye for tree hollows, cool, damp walls or green walls.
Ten locations have been selected as examples to describe representative urban natural habitats (biotopes). It quickly becomes clear that some of these habitats are common and can be found in a wide variety of places in the city - many of them along the proposed route.
Each location is marked with a QR code and a link to the following websites. Here you will find - briefly and concisely - a few interesting details about the biotope, species portraits and tips for at home.
Printed copies with all the information about the tour are available in the Stadthaus foyer, among other places.
