Fair week

The motto of Fair Week 2025: "Trade fairly. Experience diversity!" The nationwide campaign weeks from September 12 to 26 draw attention to how diverse Fair Trade is.

The motto of Fair Week 2025: "Trade fairly. Experience diversity!"

Diversity is a key prerequisite for sustainable development. It embodies strength and resilience, protects ecosystems, connects communities and opens up prospects for disadvantaged producers worldwide. Fair trade promotes this diversity by supporting farmers, workers and cooperatives, ensuring fair prices, counteracting discrimination and establishing sustainable cultivation methods. In this way, it helps to combat global challenges such as poverty, environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity and social inequality.

In these politically and ecologically challenging times, it is essential to show perspectives - perspectives on what the path to a fairer and sustainable world can look like. Central to Fair Trade is that it is dedicated to both social justice and ecological diversity, a promising approach for a sustainable future.

During Fair Trade Week, Bonn also shows that everyone can set an example for this diversity with everyday decisions: buying less, using second-hand goods, promoting local products and fairly traded goods and thus supporting and protecting ecosystems and communities.

All Bonn citizens are cordially invited to participate with their own actions, whether as an individual, with their school, business or association. Lectures, tasting and sales events, devotions, discussions, flash mobs or film evenings - there is plenty to fit into the program booklet in which the city of Bonn is bundling all events, as in previous years.

Suggestions and ideas can be found in the Bonn 2024 program booklet below. The national Fair Week team is also offering online seminars on topics such as campaign ideas, support services and public relations work.
