(1) The house and bathing regulations serve to ensure safety, cleanliness and order in the indoor and outdoor pools of the City of Bonn.

(1) The house and bathing rules are binding for bathers. The statutory provisions apply to the contract concluded at the ticket office.

(2) The staff or other authorized persons of the Sports and Baths Office exercise domiciliary rights. The instructions of the staff or authorized persons of the office must be followed. Bathers who violate the house and bathing rules may be expelled from the baths. In the event of expulsion from the baths, the fee will not be refunded.

In addition, depending on the severity of the violation, a temporary or permanent ban may be issued by the management of the Sports and Bathing Office or its authorized representatives.

(3) The house and bathing regulations apply to general bathing operations. Exceptions may be permitted for special events or use by certain groups of people (e.g. school and club swimming) without the need to revoke the house and pool rules.

(4) Political activities, events, demonstrations, the distribution of printed material, the display of posters or notices, the collection of signature lists and the use of the pool for commercial or other non-pool-related purposes are only permitted with the approval of the Sports and Pool Authority.

(5) Teaching or practicing swimming in groups is only permitted with the prior express permission of the Sports and Pool Authority.

(1) The opening hours and the tariff are published at the entrance to the pool and on the City of Bonn website.

(2) The swimming and showering time ends 15 minutes before the end of the opening time.

(3) Admission to indoor and outdoor swimming pools closes 40 minutes before the end of opening hours.

(4) Bathers must leave the pool facilities before the end of opening hours.

(5) Special admission requirements and opening hours may be stipulated for school and club swimming as well as courses and events for certain groups of people.

(6) Purchased admission tickets or other access authorizations will not be refunded in the event of loss.

(7) If pools or parts of pools are closed, there is no entitlement to a refund or reduction of the admission price.

(8) If a reduction is claimed in accordance with the fee regulations, the entitlement must be proven to the operator's staff or other persons authorized by the operator by means of the corresponding ID.

(9) The misuse of admission tickets or special passes will generally result in criminal charges, confiscation of the admission ticket or pass and a ban from the premises. Further consequences may be set out in the fee regulations.

(10) If multi-point or season tickets are lost, a replacement will only be granted on presentation of a valid receipt. There is no entitlement to a replacement without a receipt.

(1) In principle, every person is free to visit the baths; restrictions may be imposed in certain cases.

(2) Every bathing guest must be in possession of a valid admission ticket or access authorization for the baths.

(3) Children who have not yet reached the age of 7 may only use the baths when accompanied by an adult who is obliged to supervise the child at all times and is responsible for the child's safety.

Persons who are unable to move around or dress and undress safely without assistance or who are prone to seizures and fainting fits are only permitted to use the pools together with a responsible person who can provide appropriate assistance if necessary.

(4) Persons are not permitted to enter the baths:

1. who are under the influence of intoxicating substances,
2. who have animals with them,
3. who suffer from a notifiable communicable disease as defined by law or open wounds or skin rashes (in case of doubt, a medical certificate may be requested).

(1) Bathers must refrain from doing anything that is contrary to good morals and the maintenance of safety, peace and order. In particular, sexual harassment, for example through lewd gestures, comments and physical advances, is prohibited.

Sexual harassment will always result in criminal charges and a ban from the premises.

(2) The facilities of the baths, including the rental items, must be treated with care. In the event of improper use or damage, the bathing guest is liable for any damage incurred. A special cleaning charge may be levied for culpable soiling that goes beyond the extent of intended use, the amount of which is determined on a case-by-case basis according to expenditure.

(3) Barefoot areas may not be entered with street shoes. Any aids brought along, such as wheelchairs or walking frames as well as wheeled suitcases, must be cleaned by the bathing guest or their companion before entering the barefoot area.

(4) Bathers are not permitted to use musical instruments, sound or image reproduction devices and other media if this causes a nuisance to other bathers.

(5) Photographing and filming other persons and groups without their consent is not permitted. For commercial purposes and for the press, photography and filming requires the prior approval of the Sports and Pool Authority.

(6) The body must be cleaned before using the pools. Shaving, nail cutting, hair coloring, etc. are not permitted.

(7) Every bathing guest must be prepared for the typical dangers of bathing by exercising increased caution.

(8) Food and drinks may only be brought in for personal consumption and may only be consumed in the designated areas.

(9) The use of sports and play equipment is only permitted with the consent of the supervisory staff.

(10) Fragile containers (e.g. containers made of glass or porcelain) may not be brought onto the premises.

(11) Smoking is prohibited in all rooms as well as at the pool surrounds, on the lawns between the pools, in the waiting area and around the kiosk in the outdoor pools. Areas where smoking is permitted are set up in such a way that they do not cause a nuisance to staff or other bathers. This also applies to electric cigarettes (heaters and vaporizers).

(12) Lost property must be handed over to the staff and will be handled in accordance with the statutory provisions.

(13) Cloakroom lockers and/or valuables lockers are only available for use by bathers during the period of validity of their access authorization. There is no entitlement to their use. After closing time, all lockers and valuables lockers that are still locked will be opened and emptied if necessary. The contents will be treated as lost property.

(14) Loungers and chairs may not be permanently covered with towels, bags or other objects. Objects placed on the loungers and chairs will be removed by the staff if necessary.

(15) Access to the bathing facilities is only permitted via the corridors and stairs provided for this purpose. The paths from the individual cabins, changing cabins and collective changing rooms to the shower rooms and swimming pools as well as all other rooms in this area and the swimming pool surrounds may only be entered barefoot or with bathing shoes. After changing, the individual and changing cubicles may only be exited through the door to the boot corridor.

(1) The City of Bonn is generally not liable for damages suffered by bathers. This does not apply to liability for breach of an essential contractual obligation and for liability for damages to the bathing guest resulting from injury to life, body or health, nor for damages suffered by the bathing guest due to an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by the City of Bonn, its legal representatives or vicarious agents. Essential contractual obligations are those whose fulfillment is essential for the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the user may regularly rely.

(2) An essential contractual obligation of the City of Bonn includes in particular, but not exclusively, the use of the bathing facilities, unless they are partially closed for compelling operational reasons, as well as to enable participation in the events offered and included in the fee.

(3) Bathers are expressly advised not to take any valuables into the baths. The City of Bonn does not assume any guarding or duty of care for valuables brought into the pool. The City of Bonn is only liable for the loss of valuables, cash and clothing in accordance with the statutory regulations. This also applies to damage to items by third parties.

(4) The depositing of money or valuables in lockers and/or a safe deposit box provided by the City of Bonn does not create any obligations on the part of the City of Bonn with regard to the items deposited. In particular, no safekeeping obligations are established. It is the sole responsibility of the user, when using a checkroom locker and/or safe deposit box, to lock them properly, to check that the respective device is securely locked and to keep the keys in a safe place.

(5) Some of the lockers and/or safe deposit boxes provided have coin deposit locks. If the key to the coin deposit lock is lost, the bathing guest must pay compensation for the key in the amount specified in the fee regulations. In this case, or if the key to the lock has been lost, the contents of the locker will only be handed over once proof of ownership has been provided. No compensation will be paid for any damage to the lock brought in.

(1) Bathers are responsible for locking their lockers and/or valuables lockers and storing them themselves.

(2) Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times in the entire bathing area. The swimwear must at least fully cover the primary sexual characteristics. It is not permitted to enter the wet area of the baths wearing street clothes, shoes or bags.

(3) Jumping in from the side, pushing or throwing other people into the pools is prohibited.

(4) The water attractions on offer require caution and consideration for other bathers.

(5) The use of diving facilities and water slides goes beyond the typical dangers of bathing. Bathers must adjust their behavior accordingly. These facilities may only be used after approval by the staff.

(6) Access to the diving platforms and diving boards is only permitted individually. Jumping is only permitted in a longitudinal direction, whereby the jumping bathing guest must first ensure that this is possible without endangering others. After the jump, the area below the diving platform must be left immediately. It is not permitted to swim in the jumping area while using the jumping facilities.

(7) Water slides may only be used in accordance with the posted signs, the safety distance must be maintained when sliding and the landing area must be left immediately.

(8) The use of eye protection goggles (swimming goggles) is at your own risk.

(9) The use of exercise, training or play and sports equipment brought along may be restricted or prohibited by the staff.

(10) In the event of thunderstorms, swimming pools, walkways and meadow areas in the outdoor pools must be cleared immediately and the protected areas must be visited.
