City of Bonn

Support for voluntary work

The City of Bonn is participating in the state program "2,000 x 1,000 euros for commitment" for the fifth time. Applications for funding can be submitted with immediate effect.

Committed individuals, associations, civil society associations and initiatives can now apply for funding as part of the "2,000 x 1,000 euros for commitment" micro-grant program. The state of North Rhine-Westphalia is once again making a total of two million euros available for this purpose. As in previous years, the City of Bonn will receive 39,000 euros in funding from the program, enabling it to support 39 projects or initiatives in Bonn.

The new focus topic is "Committed to the future - promoting young involvement and shaping new projects". Information on the funding program and how to apply can be found at  https://freiwilligenagentur.bonn.de/anerkennungskultur and www.engagiert-in-nrw.de. About the program

The state program "2,000 x 1,000 euros for engagement" is part of the engagement strategy for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia adopted by the state government at the beginning of 2021. As part of a broad participation process, committed and civil society organizations had expressed the need for additional funding access, in particular micro-funding programmes.
