This affects the section between Römerstraße and Welrichsweg, which will be fully closed; local residents will be able to use the road up to the construction site. A detour route will be set up and pedestrian traffic will be guided past the construction site. During the construction period, use of the parking spaces will be restricted.

After 145 meters of sewer have already been renovated using the trenchless pipe-lining method, the gully boxes and their connecting pipes are now being renewed for the road drainage using the open trench method. For this purpose, four excavation pits up to three meters deep will be created in the road area.

The sewer construction work is expected to last until mid-July 2024. However, it cannot be ruled out that unforeseeable underground conditions or bad weather may lead to delays in the construction process or completion of the work.
