Music students once again successful at the "Jugend musiziert" state competition

37 students from the Ludwig van Beethoven Music School in Bonn successfully took part in the state competition "Jugend musiziert 2025", which took place in Essen from March 21 to 25, 2025. Several soloists, duos and one ensemble were selected for the national competition.

"We are delighted with these great results," said music school director David Hecker. "Preparing for the state competition alongside school demands a lot from the young musicians. I would therefore like to congratulate everyone and thank the teachers and parents for their great commitment." The violin, cello and percussion soloists, the duos for piano and a wind instrument and the early music and harp ensembles were awarded twelve first prizes, six second prizes and one third prize. Three duos for piano and a wind instrument and one harp ensemble were nominated for the national competition. An evaluation is still pending: Another early music ensemble will take part in the state competition in Mainz next weekend.

The young musicians Florian Körner, Ferdinand Seibold, Christian Saddai and Amalia Klein-Carazo from the classes of Beatrix Ebersberg, Annette Dornauf, Hsiu-Ping Chang and Beate Dix impressed the jury with their musicality and technical skills. They are now preparing for the national competition, which will take place in Wuppertal from June 5 to 11, 2025.

The harp ensemble with students Karlotta Landeck, Fiona Bozzetti and Marta Zielke, who are taught by Konstanze Jarczyk, as well as the duo Delphine Labadie and Xutong Geng from the classes of Jörg Schulteß and Miriam Pohl, also impressed the judges with their playing and were nominated for the national competition.

"Jugend musiziert" was open to soloists for string instruments, accordion and percussion in 2025. Chamber music ensembles with piano, duos for piano and a wind instrument, guitar and harp ensembles and early music ensembles could also take part.
