The Health Department would like to point out that the vaccination center in the Town Hall has been closed since December 21. Vaccinations against Covid 19 continue to take place like all other vaccinations at the established doctors and in some pharmacies.

Vaccinations of children
Childhood immunizations are given in established pediatrician's offices.
A list of pediatric practices can be found here:
Second booster vaccination
According to the current StiKo recommendation (September 2022), this offer applies to:
- People 60 years of age and older
- People with immunodeficiency from the age of five years onwards
- Residents in long-term care facilities as well as persons with an increased risk of severe disease progression in institutions for integration assistance
- Staff in medical facilities and nursing homes, especially those with direct patient/resident contact
- Persons aged 5 years and older at increased risk for severe COVID-19 courses as a result of an underlying disease.
The interval between the third vaccination should be at least six months for those working in nursing or medical settings, and at least three months for all other eligible persons. If Covid19 infection has been diagnosed after three vaccinations, a fourth vaccination is not recommended.
In addition, the Standing Committee on Vaccination has now recommended basic immunization with Nuvaxovid (Novavax) for children and adolescents aged 12 to 17 years.
Information on complete vaccination protection
Section 22a of the Infection Protection Act (IfSG) (opens in a new tab) regulates the conditions under which a person is considered to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Since October 1, 2022, complete vaccination protection has existed:
after three individual vaccinations (the last individual vaccination must have taken place at least three months after the second individual vaccination),
after two single vaccinations
- PLUS a positive antibody test before the first vaccination OR
- PLUS SARS-CoV-2 infection detected by PCR test prior to second vaccination OR
- PLUS SARS-CoV-2 infection detected by PCR test after second vaccination (28 days must have elapsed since testing).
Facility-based vaccination requirement
Also, under the facility-based vaccination requirement (e.g., for clinics, nursing homes, physicians' offices, and emergency medical services), a total of three individual vaccinations must be given since October 1 to be considered "fully vaccinated." According to information provided by the Social Welfare Office, the obligation on the part of employers to report continues to exist until December 31, 2022, in accordance with the previous procedure, i.e. now also in the absence of complete immunization with, as a rule, three individual vaccinations. Proactive testing by the health authorities is not envisaged.
