The Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for fire suppression and for providing assistance in all kinds of emergencies. Preparing for disaster and disaster management is also their responsibility.

The City Council of Bonn is required by law to provide, equip and maintain an efficient Fire and Rescue Service. The Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for fire suppression and for providing assistance in all kinds of emergencies. It also works to prevent fire, and to minimise the effects of fire if it occurs, through Fire Prevention initiatives. Preparing for disaster and disaster management is also the responsibility of the Fire and Rescue Service.

What to do in case of an emergency with the "Warning" signal

Once the siren sounds in an emergency, people should seek out closed rooms and close windows and doors. In addition, you should pay attention to loudspeaker announcements by the police and fire department as well as announcements on the radio station  Radio Bonn/Rhein-Sieg (opens in a new tab). If necessary, it is also useful to inform the neighbors.
