Coronavirus: 142 people currently infected

As of Monday, October 12, 2020, 142 people in Bonn are demonstrably infected with the coronavirus. Since February 28, 2020, a total of 1463 people have tested positive for the coronavirus. Nine people have died in connection with Covid-19, 1312 people have recovered.

In the past seven days, 136 new infections have been registered in Bonn; this corresponds to 41.21 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. This means that the emergency mechanism introduced by the federal and state governments against rising infection rates of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days (115 persons) has been exceeded. The limit of 50 infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days is 165 cases in Bonn.

Recommendations and further protective measures

The city of Bonn has therefore ordered further protective measures and made urgent recommendations. Among the appeals is the repeated request to comply with the AHA rule in principle: Keep your distance, wash your hands, wear your everyday mask. The city is drawing attention to the AHA rules with a motif campaign on digital media within the city limits (so-called Road Side Screens and City Screens).

The city also recommends mouth-and-nose protection wherever the distance cannot be maintained, which can already be the case in a somewhat crowded shopping street. The city also advises to wear masks in secondary schools and adult education institutions during lessons. It also recommends installing the Corona Warning App whenever possible and airing the room regularly where possible. At outdoor sports events, no fan chants should be used.

Additional protective measures include:

  • At public events in closed rooms, the audience is not allowed to sing along.
  • For private parties within public and rented rooms, the number of participants is limited to 50. They are notifiable if more than 25 people participate, and the organizer must ensure easy traceability of participants.
  • For sports events in closed rooms, a permanent obligation to wear masks, a ban on catch chants and simple traceability of the participants apply.

Daycare centers and schools
