Delegation from Singapore learns about sustainable city planning in Bonn

On Monday, 24 October 2022, the City Planning Office of the City of Bonn received a 5-member delegation from Singapore. The delegation from Temasek Polytechnic, a post-secondary academic institution, visited Bonn in the framework of the UNESCO-UNEVOC conference and had asked the City of Bonn to provide technical input on sustainable urban development.

Inês Ulbrich and Jörn Springer from the City Planning Office, together with Ulrike Nauroth from the Department of International Affairs and Global Sustainability, were happy to welcome the guests, offering a view over the roofs of Bonn from the top of Bonn’s City Hall.  Inês Ulbrich and Jörn Springer then shared their professional knowledge on the Bonn Building Land Model and sustainable urban land use planning in the city.  Bonn’s city staff highly appreciated the interesting lecture of Deputy Director Lim Teng Leng, who provided some insights into urban planning in Singapore, with a focus on public housing in the city state.
