Bonn's SDG Partnership Conference has kicked off at the Old Town Hall today. For the first time, the three-day conference will bring together representatives from the European partner cities of the districts as well as from non-European partner cities. 

Under the motto "17 Days for the 17 Goals", the Bonn SDG Days once again invite people to find out about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and get involved. The first highlight took place this weekend with the #ZeroHungerRun at Bonn’s Rheinaue Park. The 17 Goals Zone at Friedrichstraße in the city center, with its umbrella roof in the colors of the Sustainable Development Goals, is visible from afar and holds out many more hands-on activities and events for all. 

The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) has recently celebrated its first anniversary at the Bonn site, introducing its activities undertaken from the new premises and providing the opportunity to engage with some ECMWF staff and directors.

Bonn as a business location has coped very well with the effects of the Corona pandemic to date. This is the conclusion of the Annual Economic Report 2022, which was presented by Mayor Katja Dörner and Economic Development Manager Victoria Appelbe on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

The Global Crop Diversity Trust (Crop Trust) was established in October 2004 as an international non-profit organization and is working from Bonn to conserve crop diversity and make it available for use globally, forever, for the benefit of everyone. It's almost that time of the year again: the start of the Urban October 2022 is close! Launched by UN-HABITAT in 2014, each year the Urban October aims to raise awareness on global urban challenges and the importance of sustainable urban development. With 28 exciting events the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) joins the event month with its own.
