SOLWODI Germany e.V.

SOLWODI advocates women’s rights and helps women who have become victims of human trafficking and forced prostitution, forced marriage, threats of honor killings and other forms of violence. Apart from providing emergency aid, specific counselling and psychosocial care, as well as measures and activities that improve the social integration of these women, the organization also offers anonymous shelter and assists women who wish to return to their home countries.

SOLWODI places a great emphasis on education and prevention: publicity campaigns, school projects and training for disseminators help to raise public awareness for these women and girls both, at home and abroad.
Modern forms of slavery exist almost in all parts of the world and mostly affect women and girls - and normally consist in human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

SOLWODI maintains offices in Kenya, Rwanda, Romania and Austria.
