Senior Expert Service (SES)

The Senior Expert Service (SES) - an association of the German exonomy for international cooperation - is the leading German non-profit organization for volunteer work and assignments fo retired senior experts and executive staff. Founded as a non-profit association in 1983, it aims at providing help for self-help on site. 

 

Approximately 13.000 experts from all commercial, technical, medical and social fields of work as well as qualified skilled workers have registered with SES to date. On a voluntary basis, they have agreed to prvide expertise and have completed more than 60.000 assignments to 160 countries since 1983.

 

SES experts predominantly support small and medium-sized enterprises, public institutions and administrations as well as educational and professional training facilities. SES assignments focus on developing our emerging countries and those in transition. 

In Germany, SES offers counselling services to schools and to young people who intend to start a career or vocational training. 

 

SES receives financial support from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
