The ILD is the development aid organization of the Catholic Rural People's Movement of Germany (KLB). The aim is the development of rural habitats. To this end, self-help movements, partnerships and projects are supported.

The future opportunities of disadvantaged rural population groups are enhanced through educational measures and the financing and support of concrete development-relevant activities in local sponsorship.
