The International Bureau is using the funds provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research to explore, initiate and expand international cooperation activities of German universities, research institutions and companies.

The International Bureau supports a stable international research and education cooperation between Germany and its partners across the globe. It advises German universities, research institutions and companies on international research cooperation and provides financial support to establish new contacts and facilitate cooperation.

The International Bureau is part of the 'European and International Cooperation' department of the DLR Project Management Agency at the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
