Experiment e.V - The Experiment in International Living

Experiment e.V. is the German office of the worldwide oldest exchange organisation "The Experiment In International Living", established in 1932 in the United States.

The non-profit association Experiment e.V. has been registered in Germany since 1952 and currently has approximately 1.000 supporting members. Experiment works with such partners as the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Goethe Institute and the German Parliament, Stiftung Mercator, ZEIT-Stiftung.

The 25 full-time employees of the headquarters in Bonn are supported nationwide by more than 600 volunteers.

More than 40 Percent of all participants are granted scholarships. In this way, the participation in an exchange program is decoupled from the individual financial situation.

Curious world travellers of every age group take advantage of the various programs from Experiment e.V. Above all, they discovered the people and the country in a way that is usually not possible for common tourists - namely as a family member. Guests are warmly welcomed in host families in 50 countries throughout the world. In this manner, both sides experience an intensive cultural exchange.
