The European Association for Renewable Energy (EUROSOLAR) was founded in 1988 as a registered non-profit organization that conducts its work independently of political parties, institutions, commercial enterprises and interest groups. The association is dedicated to the cause of completely replacing nuclear and fossil energy by renewable energy. Solar energy is thereby understood as a broad term for renewable energies. The complete and fast transition is considered essential to preserve the natural resources and as a prerequisite for a sustainable economy.
EUROSOLAR brings together expertise from the fields of politics, economics, science and culture to promote the development of renewable energies from the local to the international level. EUROSOLAR aims at a broad mobilization of corporate engagement and offers the chance to everyone to play a part in the socio-cultural movement for renewables - the challenge of the century to humanity.
