The activities and projects of the OWI concentrate on Eastern Europe, the Caucasian and Central Asian states. They promote the realisation of social and health systems by governmental institutions, independent social groups and self help groups in these regions. Target groups are experts, volunteers and responsible persons in official institutions and NGOs. Focuses of project sponsoring: training and continuous training, building up of organisation structures, consultancy, planning, implementation and evaluation of projects, for instance drug prevention, AIDS and local social services.
