EADI is the European umbrella organisation of development institutes. Founded in 1975 in Linz/Austria, EADI currently counts 300 members in 29 European countries, more of half of them being research or training institutes working in development research and development cooperation. The association aims at an interdisciplinary cooperation of European development research and the establishment of a network with comparable research and training institutions and individual scientists and their umbrella organisations in developing countries.
