The Development and Peace Foundation (SEF) is a non-aligned and non-profit foundation of the regional states of North Rhine Westphalia, Berlin, Brandenburg, and Saxony. It intends to be the motor of a German and an international debate on future issues in the world society growing closer and it is the advocate of a new political order in a world that is increasingly under the impact of globalisation.
The main objective of the foundation is a democratic political model for the age of globalisation with a view to humane development and peaceful coexistence under its leitmotiv "Development and Reinforcement of Global Governance”. An essential criterion for the activities of SEF is the political relevance and the possibility to implement its projects.
