KAAD is the organisation of the catholic church allocating grants to postgraduates and scientists from (developing) countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America, of the Middle East and from eastern and south eastern Europe.
By grants, education activities, personal and spiritual assistance KAAD promotes its scholarship holders with a view to their future function as multipliers in their countries of origin. This is done in cooperation with partner organisms and alumni associations in these countries aiming at (scientific) networking and at contributing to a holistic development including the religious and inter-religious dimension.
