The Bonn Society for China Studies (BGCS) is a non-profit association formed by scientists, students, business representatives and people interested in China. With its activities, the Society contributes to international understanding and the promotion of education and science.

The Bonn Society for China Studies informs and discusses about China's society, culture and economy, its past and present. The aim is to create a multi-faceted picture of China through current and well-founded expertise. Furthermore, the association promotes dialogue and knowledge transfer between former, current and future students of Chinese Studies at the University of Bonn.

 The BGCS organizes lectures, film screenings, discussions and a permanent exchange on current China topics. The China Dialogue, which takes place regularly, offers members and interested parties the opportunity to get to know each other over Chinese food and to discuss together. In addition, BGCS provides the know-how for China-related events of various organizations and educational institutions from the fields of politics, culture and business.
