Arrival and getting around

Travelling to Bonn is fast and comfortable. Cologne/Bonn, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt Airports are well connected by bus and train. Excellent infrastructure affords direct trains from German and European cities, very good motorways and a dense network of local public transport.

By airplane

Express bus line SB 60 connects the Cologne/Bonn Terminals with the Central Station in downtown Bonn in only 25 minutes. There is an Intercity-Express (ICE) from Frankfurt Airport to Cologne with a stop at the town of Siegburg. Travel time is approximately 45 minutes. The suburban tramway line 66 links Siegburg Station with Bonn Central Station.

By train

Bonn Central Station and the regional-train stations in the districts of Bad Godesberg, Beuel and Duisdorf account for Bonn´s excellent integration into the network of both long-distance and regional lines of Deutsche Bahn national railways.

By bus

For the long-distance bus lines, there has been set up a bus stop near the Museumsmeile, at the corner of Joseph-Beuys-Allee and Marie-Kahle-Allee.

In Bonn there are two parking spaces for tour buses in the immediate vicinity of the city center. Parking is free of charge here. For short time parking there is an new place nearby the shipping lines at Alter Zoll.

Please note: Due to a large pedestrian zone, traffic is routed around the city center via a city ring. Transits through historic buildings and railway underpasses are only possible for buses up to 3.70 meters.
