In general, only entries that advertise events taking place in the City of Bonn and in the immediate vicinity of Bonn are acceptable.

The City of Bonn prohibits the use of the calendar of events to call for events that incite hatred against parts of the population or propaganda for an anti-constitutional organization. In addition, the City of Bonn explicitly prohibits the posting in the calendar of events of events with politically extreme, national socialist, fascist, extremist, racist, pornographic, illegal or other content that the City of Bonn considers offensive to others, and the posting of corresponding visual material.

Likewise, the dissemination of statements, writings and files with politically extreme, national socialist, fascist, extremist, racist, pornographic, illegal or other content that the City of Bonn considers offensive to others, or the call for such actions and the reference to them in the calendar of events is prohibited.

Entries that serve the general advertising of the organizer and are not tied to specific dates are not permitted. Entries that are purely promotional events or promotional events disguised as other events (e.g. promotional trips) are not permitted either. Entries which are linked to specific dates but which impair the clarity of the calendar due to the frequency of their recurrence or the frequency of recurrence in a similar form are similarly unacceptable.

Entries with misleading or false information, for example, about the organizer, the location of the event or the content of the event will not be accepted either.

Prior to publication, the Press Office will review the entry to determine whether it violates the requirements as set forth in Clause 1. If an entry violates the specifications pursuant to Clause 1, it will not be included in the calendar of events without further consultation. The review process may take several days.

If an entry violates the requirements as set forth in Clause 1 and has already been published in the calendar, the City of Bonn reserves the right to close or delete the entries in question immediately after discovery and without further consultation with the registrant.

The person registering the entry is solely responsible for the content of the entry, irrespective of the regular review of the entry by the City of Bonn as specified in Clause 2. The City of Bonn does not have the capacity to comprehensively review the entries for legal admissibility or infringements of third-party rights. The parties agree that the City of Bonn shall not be held responsible if the entry violates applicable law or infringes the rights of third parties.

Should claims be made against the City of Bonn as operator of the platform due to an entry made by the registering party (e.g. for damages), the registering party undertakes to fully indemnify the City of Bonn from any claims. In the event of a legal dispute, the registrant is obligated to support the City of Bonn in the defense against asserted claims.

The City of Bonn shall endeavor, to the best of its ability, to operate the calendar of events free of errors and without interruptions.

Should there be a failure of the calendar of events or other problems for whatever reason, so that, for example, events, event changes and/or cancellations are not communicated, the City of Bonn is not obligated to inform the registrant of these problems.

Liability on the part of the City of Bonn for financial loss or damage to property resulting, for example, from events, event changes and/or event cancellations not being communicated, shall expressly only be considered in the event of gross negligence or intentional conduct. Liability for negligent actions is excluded, unless the negligent action results in personal injury.

The registrant has the option of adding images to event entries. By uploading his/her own image material for posting on the City of Bonn service, the registering party agrees to the following conditions:

1. The registrant assures that he/she is the owner of all rights of use to the image material uploaded by him/her to the event database, so that he/she in turn is also entitled to grant the City of Bonn subsequent rights (lit. b) to the image material.
2. The registrant of the calendar of events transfers to the City of Bonn a royalty-free, temporally and geographically unrestricted, non-exclusive right to store, use, reproduce, distribute and make publicly accessible in modified or unmodified form on the Internet and via other media with or without naming the author. Commercial use by the City of Bonn is explicitly not permitted.
3. The registrant confirms that a written declaration of assignment or consent exists for all persons and objects recorded and depicted, which has the same scope as the transfer of the rights of this declaration of use.

4. The registrant expressly declares that he/she indemnifies the City of Bonn against all claims made by third parties on account of or in connection with the image material posted. In the event of a legal dispute, he/she is obligated to support the City of Bonn in the defense against asserted claims.

5. The City of Bonn has the right to remove the image material from its website at any time. The registering party shall have no claim to archiving of the images.

6. The regulations according to Clause 5 lit. a-f are equally valid for copyrighted text passages/texts.

The City of Bonn shall be entitled to discontinue the operation of the calendar of events at any time, temporarily or permanently, without stating reasons. The registrant shall have no claim whatsoever to the continued operation of the calendar of events.

In particular, the City of Bonn is also entitled to restart the calendar of events for the purpose of adapting these terms of use, which requires that all entries published up to that point be deleted and that these entries be posted again by the registrant, should the registrant agree to the new terms of use.

The City of Bonn does not have to inform the registrant about the discontinuation of the operation nor about the restart of the operation.

The City of Bonn does not pass on any personal data to third parties and stores such data solely for the purpose of operating the calendar of events. The only exception to this is if data and content must be passed on within the framework of legal regulations.

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Bonn. These terms of use contain all provisions between the parties. There are no collateral agreements. Amendments and supplements to this contract must be made in writing to be legally effective. The requirement of the written form can only be waived by a written agreement of the contracting parties.
