Since 2012, the Cultural Department of the City of Bonn has been presenting renowned artists, young up-and-coming bands from Bonn and the region, and musicians from neighboring countries in the open air during the summer. This year, the Stadtgarten concerts will focus on collaborations with various sponsors from the pop sector. They will present artists who will certainly be heard from again in the future.
In addition, global and international music will not be neglected: from desert blues to a French evening as part of the celebratory year "60 years of Franco-German friendship in Bonn". There will also be a hard rock night again, as well as a hip-hop evening and jazzy funk for the opening. A total of 23 performances over the five weekends, from August 4 to September 3, invite visitors to spend the summer outdoors and and against the beautiful backdrop of the Rhine.
Head of the Cultural Department Susanne König is glad that the city was able to find and inspire many partners for the low-threshold music festival again this year: "Thanks to the support of the many partners the audience can enjoy a wide range of different music genres with free admission and maybe even find a new favorite band."
