Further dates

Founded in 1985, the Bonner Kunstpreis for regional artists is awarded every two years and is endowed with 10,000 euros. Since its redesign in 2009, the Bonner Kunstpreis has also been linked to a three- to six-month international work scholarship in a European metropolis of the artist’s choice. The scholarship is supported by Dr. Stephanie and Wolfgang Bohn with a sum of 10,000 euros. In addition, the Bohns are donating a further 5,000 euros to enable a purchase from the Bonner Kunstpreis exhibition for the collection of the Kunstmuseum Bonn.

This year’s jury unanimously selected the artist Louisa Clement as the winner from approximately 25 applications. In her work, Louisa Clement (* 1987 in Bonn) deals with the human presence in the artificial and the artificial presence in the human. The artist consistently extends existing works in order to deal with current technical achievements such as artificial intelligence as well as the human being. Where do we merge with technology, how does it change our lives – both in the positive and negative?

The exhibition is supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds.
