Projekttage Neue Musik for young people from 12 years

We have been working with David Graham for years. The Rhineland composer with British roots has set up inspiring youth projects in which children and teenagers rose above themselves and wrote music that really moved their audience. David Graham’s son Philip also became a musician. He is a member of the Notos Quartet, considered one of the leading chamber music ensembles of our time. »What would happen,« David Graham asked himself, »if I wrote a concerto for the Beethoven Orchester Bonn and the Notos Quartet? « A concert, one might add, that could be performed in Bonn’s coolest concert hall? The idea was put into practice, and so our 2024 edition of BaseCamp Neue Musik revolves around the premiere of a new work – for the first time, because up to now we have only staged revivals of contemporary music at BaseCamp.
