The heart of the building ensemble on Platz der Vereinten Nationen is the main building, which opened in 2015. Together with the three houses of parliament and the multistory car park, it forms the extension of the WorldCCBonn. The former Plenary Hall of the German Bundestag, the Vice President's Building and the car park on Charles-de-Gaulle-Strasse round off the diverse offerings of the World Conference Center Bonn.

The conference center strengthens Bonn as Germany's UN city and location of the United Nations. The UN Campus is right next door. In addition to the direct conference operation, a boarding house with 46 high-quality, modern apartments, each with kitchenette and balcony, will be marketed at Heussallee 7 - 9.
