The DAX companies

Bonn is a location of important and globally operating business enterprises. This is shown, for example, by the analysis of the market capitalization of those stock corporations listed in the DAX indices (DAX 30, MDAX, TecDAX) that have their headquarters in Bonn. According to the most recent survey in May 2019, the combined market capitalization of DAX companies Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche Post DHL Group was around EUR 106.5 billion (reporting date May 16, 2019). In terms of stock market value, the German city thus ranked third, as in the previous year. This was the result of the "Börsenliga 2019" survey by strategy consultants Simon-Kucher & Partners, which has been conducting such a ranking since 2005. Unchallenged at the top is Munich with 13 companies and a stock market value of 296.5 billion euros.
