City of Bonn

Shopping. Refreshments.

Bonn is a popular shopping city with a wide range of places to stop for a bite to eat. Here you will find a mix of owner-managed stores, branches of well-known companies and the weekly market.

Shopping spree through Germany's first pedestrian zone

Wenzelgasse, one of the first pedestrian zones in Germany, opened in 1967. In the meantime, an extensive traffic-calmed area has been created in the city center, which invites you to stroll, look around and shop in many retail and chain stores.

The following applies to suppliers: the delivery time in the streets designated as pedestrian zones is between 6 a.m. and 12 noon on weekdays.

Both the city center and the city districts attract Bonn residents and guests from near and far with open days on selected dates, embedded in events.
