Getting Fit for the 21st Century

The fact that Bonn has an important university is evident from the city skyline, which is dominated by the main building of the Alma Mater, founded in 1818. The Botanical Gardens, the Institute of Discrete Mathematics and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft have also made a name for themselves. The wavelike building of the brand new science foundation CAESAR, stands for future-oriented scientific research in Germany.

Symbolic corner stone was laid by the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE): National Health Research in Bonn

One of the largest and most advanced research buildings in North Rhine-Westphalia is currently being erected in Bonn. It comprises approximately 16,000 square meters of usable area. On 4 September the symbolic foundation stone has been laid to mark the site that will host some of the most advanced translational research on neurodegeneration worldwide.
