Bonn's theatres have staged many internationally acclaimed productions and attract a highly discerning audience.

The city's private playhouses and cabaret theatres and the "Bonn Summer" festival have also made a name for themselves. From May to September everybody can enjoy a wealth of world culture free of charge on the stage outside Bonn Town Hall, ranging from music and theatre to dance and literature.
